just pushing
the leaves and twigs aside
mushroom heads

camp-fire sizzles
our buttered mushrooms
in scents of the earth

parrots forage
their first born chick
clearing the nest out

midnight lightning
begins to bend
the river

light house beam
igniting the storm
aboard us

her pony tail
more bouncy
at the gym

first thaw
shifting the weights
of the forest

suddenly awake and tacking
the first breaker
storming us
