our Thai left-over
the plastic plates

from yesterday
my haiku still-pencilled
the up-turned stone

shadowed river
a white canoe
bends the light

from a light sleep
my bed coloured-in
the orange dawn

a mantelpiece rose
just to the right
its photograph

returned
the geese glide to
the sounds of the lake

returned
the lake fills to
the sound of geese

from the bus home
a sunset
paints the clouds

first light
streaked by the lines
of migrating geese

red dragon wings…
his birthday kite
hugs the wind
