Fruit bowl
no student yet painting
the apple’s bruise.

Grandfather clock
chimes tingling
the tot’s covered ears.

Winter mists
crossing the lake
with silent oars.

Country town
inspecting it
the rise and rise of the circus.

Moon-edged clouds
across the pond
the glitter of fireflies.

Lime-stone caves
letting my phone film
a million years.

A patch of moon
another wrestle of toms
in our garden bed.
