Such unnatural desires
to reach the sun
Pine trees growing straight.

River’s edge
his dog retrieves
the school boy’s ruler.

vanishing from the centre
the glitter of shattered glass.

Garden Buddha
a sliver of moonlight
has crossed to the feet.

Curtains open
just for these few hours
the moon joins our bed.

Snow melt
quietly murmuring
about stones.

Cheval mirror
Tangerine twirling
in her long lemon dress.

Race course
two dragonflies drawing round
to the long strait.

Sunday heat
the garbage bin wheeled
into a million stars.
