sunrise sweeps
from wave to wave.

Aphis
suddenly on the roses
Spring ! ah ! Spring.

Red traffic lights
the polished body
of the waiting hearse.

A cool winding road
you drive between peach orchards
with their ripe fruit airs.

The Sunday carved roast
from father’s bedroom
his shuffling slippers.

Un-rented house
the autumn change too
hovers in its trees.

The storm lulls, wakes
I feel the pattern
over my sleep.

Meteor passing
a sign the earth
is still of the stars.

Circus
in the ghost train ride
her hummingbird hands.

So much harvest rice
waits in the rain
for the red hand cart.
