the forest breeze

One star
the guide geese find
for the journey.

Rolling on home
eyes closed in the train seats
with the moon.

Camp fire
making my grotesques
dance with its light.

Cat-walk music
the out-rush of models
in the role clothes play.

Another fire fly
circling in the dusk
around us.

Leaves litter
the wind and I rake
against each other.

Wife’s garden
in her straw basket
our dinner picked herbs.

Midnight clouds
a moon spot
steps off shore.

The campfire glows
her birth stars pointed out
along my arm.
