hunter calling hunter
around the zoo.

Vegetable garden
snowflakes with the cabbage moths
becoming cold.

Beneath the Gum trees
father’s tin shed
rusting his tools.

Mountain bath
little flakes of us in the stream
going to the sea.

Shoe shine man
another sneeze held
with his polishing cloth.

August
rain mist slowly gathers
at the lily’s mouth.

Sudden showers
watching my watercolours
run into a Picasso.

Limp sails
after the fog lifts
the curves of porpoise.

Grandparent’s day
tiny tickled giggles
from the bassinet.

Lily pad
in the frog’s eye
the dragonfly’s measure.
