feeling all the butterflies pass.

All day alone

Church wedding
dust stirs
in the sunbeams.

Autumn dusk
the kitchen light deeper
into the garden.

Autumn ends
oak leaves fluttering
in a butterfly’s dance.

Just ignoring
the cat food bowl
until their visitors leave.

falling inside.
