in saxophone notes
my whiskey on ice.

After the re-union
with school friends
her muscatel breath.

Intersection
it’s the vintage car
most see.

Interstate bus – –
the city lights pour
into puddles.

Crescent moon
an enchantment around you
of fireflies.

Red sports Jaguar
the blonde’s long cool glance
over mine.

Canoeist
hand baling
the white water out.

Strange fruits
kittens frightened
up the pomegranate tree.
