night collects
behind father’s urn.

After school
grandfather behind
the to and fro of her swing.

At drought’s end
moonlight
from the spilling dam.

Fresh from the oven
our peach-apple pie
in the soft window breeze.

Tossed sleep
the passage of the moon
across the window.

Brand new house
our first sunset
falls silent.

Burning hotel
smoke on the water
too tall for the sky.

Buzzing
with chain saws
the rain forest splits.

Kindergarten
she makes any crayon
her coloured sky.

Mountain waterfall
the morning sun
distilled in it.
