Tropic isle
the sunrise bathes
in orange juice.

From the marmalade sky
the Aegean spreads
a creeping dawn.

Closet fog
the cruise ship hoots
over deep water.

Rocking gently
boats and gulls
coloured sunset-red.

Holy oceans
from your deep greens
the whales blow.

Dawn spreads …
a boat leaving the harbour
to gull cries.

The blue Aegean
about twenty yachts
becalmed at sea.

Moonlit whales
her newborn following
their ancient journey.
